POMONA — A bicyclist was hospitalized in grave condition Monday morning after he was struck by a vehicle in Pomona.
The crash was reported at 9:31 p.m. Sunday in the area of Fairplex Drive and Arroyo Avenue, according to Pomona police.
Arriving officers found the man unresponsive and severely injured on the ground in traffic lanes, police said. Paramedics took him to a hospital for treatment.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers, police said. The driver was determined not to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The cause of the crash was under investigation. Anyone with information was asked to call the Traffic Services Bureau at 909-802-7741 or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
