A San Bernardino man died following a crash on the 10 Freeway near Fontana, the California Highway Patrol said.
On Saturday, April 3, a Ford F-150 was traveling east on the 10 Freeway east of Sierra Avenue at about 75 mph when the driver of a Scion TC collided into its rear. After the impact, the Scion lost control and veered right across all lanes and collided into a tree and chain link fence, the CHP said.
The driver of the Scion, Rafael Torres, 37, was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel at 11:23 p.m., according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.
Anyone with information regarding the collision was encouraged to contact Officer B. Holguin at the San Bernardino CHP Office at 909-383-4247.
