A 21-year-old Anaheim woman died early Sunday morning on the 91 Freeway in Corona after her driver, a DUI suspect, stalled their vehicle before getting struck by another suspected DUI driver, the California Highway Patrol said.

Just before 2:30 a.m., the CHP responded to a call of a Nissan blocking eastbound lanes on the 91 just west of Green River Road. Before an officer could arrive, the CHP said, a Camaro struck the Nissan at an estimated 67 mph and one person fled on foot.

The Camaro’s driver, the CHP said, did not see the Nissan.

The Nissan’s driver pulled the passenger from the vehicle and placed her on the ground and fled the scene, the CHP said. Breann Alizaga was identified as the passenger who died, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.

The Camaro’s driver, 34-year-old Baltazar Villanuevaramos of Moreno Valley, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, the CHP said.

The Nissan’s driver Luis Alberto Leonides, 22, of Santa Ana later returned to the scene and was also arrested on suspicion of DUI as well as hit-and-run, the CHP said.
