1 driver killed in Perris crash, 2nd hospitalized in serious condition

A driver died and another was hospitalized following a wreck in Perris on Sunday afternoon at the intersection of 4th Street and Park Avenue, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department reported.

At about 2:02 p.m., deputies responded to a collision involving a white Hyundai Accent and a silver BMW 328i, the Sheriff’s Department reported.  The driver of the Hyundai succumbed after suffering major injuries and life-saving measures being attempted, the Sheriff’s Department said.

The identity of the driver who died was not immediately released. The driver of the BMW was taken to the Riverside University Health System in serious condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not been interviewed was encouraged to call Deputy Kiebach at the Sheriff’s Department at 951-210-1074.
