A 24-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision with an SUV in Montclair, authorities said.
On Saturday, Jan. 30, officers were dispatched to a report of a crash in the intersection of Central Avenue and Kingsley Street at about 7:11 p.m. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries, Montclair police said in a news release.
An investigation showed the SUV entered Central Avenue from a private driveway while the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Central Avenue. The motorcyclist was unable to stop or avoid the collision, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
