A 20-year-old Highland woman was killed in a traffic crash in San Bernardino after reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed and striking a curb and then a tree, the San Bernardino Police Department said.
At about 8:51 p.m. on Wednesday, a Toyota Camry driven by Angelica Jimenez was heading southbound in the 2300 Block of N. Waterman Avenue. She allegedly drifted into thenorthbound lanes of Waterman Avenue, drove over the east curb and struck a tree, the Police Department reported.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
Jimenez suffered severe injuries and succumbed to them at the scene. Speed and drugs were likely factors in this collision, San Bernardino PD said.
Anyone with additional information was asked to contact Sgt. Jeff Harvey at 909-384-5792.
