A man was killed and four minors riding in the car were injured late Friday night, Nov. 27, in a collision in San Bernardino in which the other driver was arrested.

Brandon Jaquez-Perez, 23, of Bloomington was drunk, speeding and ran a red light, the San Bernardino Police Department said.
Jaquez-Perez is also identified in the county jail log as Brandon Alan Jaquez and Brandon Alan Perez. He was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol, the log says.
He was being held at West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Police said Jaquez-Perez was driving a Ford Mustang west on Kendall Drive when he ran a red light at University Parkway and broadsided a Toyota Camry being driven by a 31-year-old Bakersfield resident. The Camry caught fire, and the driver died.
Two of the children suffered life-threatening injuries, one had severe injuries and the fourth moderate injuries, a police news release said. All four also were from Bakersfield. None of the victims’ names has been publicly announced.
