A motorcyclist was killed in a Monday morning hit-and-run in Fontana in the intersection of Arrow Boulevard and Locust Avenue, the Fontana Police Department reported.
The motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Locust while a white vehicle was traveling eastbound on Arrow at about 9 a.m. The white vehicle struck the motorcycle, continued through the intersection and made U-turn, Officer Kevin Anderson said.
The rider of the motorcycle was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, Anderson said. The rider was also possibly run over by a vehicle after the initial collision, however, it is unknown exactly which vehicle.
In a Facebook post, Fontana PD said it is believed there was a witness to the crash and asked for witnesses to step forward to provide information.

The white vehicle was last seen travelling northbound on Locust, the department said. The investigation was ongoing and the Major Accident Investigation Team along with detectives was investigating the collision, Anderson said.
