A 22-year-old Hemet man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of a fatal hit-and-run in Beaumont that took the life of a San Jacinto woman.
A collision in the area of Pennsylvania Avenue and the 10 Freeway at about 6 p.m. resulted in the death of 35-year-old pedestrian Jenna Fortier. The driver left the scene prior to officers arriving, the Beaumont Police Department said in a Facebook post.
A witness followed the driver and was able to detain him until Beaumont PD arrived. Devon Pellum was arrested, the department said.
