A man was killed in a multi-vehicle traffic collision on the 215 Freeway near Riverside during the morning commute on Tuesday, Oct. 27, authorities said.
Bacilio Lorenzo Eustaquio, 21, of Moreno Valley, perished in the collision, the Riverside County Coroner’s Office said. Eustaquio died at the scene, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.
The crash, involving a big rig and three other vehicles, was reported at 6:42 a.m. in the southbound lanes south of Van Buren Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol said.
One person who suffered moderate injuries was trapped in a car and had to be cut out, Cal Fire said.
No details on the cause of the crash were immediately available.
The southbound lanes were closed until about 8:40 a.m.
