A Highland motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle collision after running a red light in San Bernardino on Saturday, Aug. 8, police said.
Patrick Scott Pickering, 26, was riding east on Highland Avenue at about 12:50 p.m., San Bernardino Police Department officials said. The motorcycle slammed into a Hyundai that was making a left turn at Valencia Avenue.
A 48-year-old San Bernardino man behind the wheel of the Hyundai received treatment for minor injuries.
Speed appears to have been a factor in the crash, police said.
Authorities asked anyone with information that might be relevant to investigators to contact either San Bernardino Police Det. Dan Acosta or Sgt. Jeff Harvey at 909-384-5792.
