A motorcyclist was killed Thursday, June 18, in a crash on the northbound 15 Freeway in Jurupa Valley, authorities said Saturday.

The crash occurred near the connector road from the 15 to the eastbound 60 Freeway about 10:50 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. A 56-year-old Riverside man was riding a Yamaha XV1900AC that drifted to the left and collided with a concrete wall.

The man was ejected from the vehicle and died as a result of his injuries, CHP officials said. His identity was withheld Saturday, pending the notification of his relatives.

The crash prompted the temporary closures of parts of the northbound 15 and the transition road to the 60, the CHP said.

Authorities asked anyone who might have witnessed the crash or seen the Yamaha on Thursday night to call the California Highway Patrol at 951-637-8000.
