Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Chino Hills

A hit-and-run crash in Chino Hills left a pedestrian dead Thursday night and sheriff’s deputies searching for the driver.

The crash happened near Carbon Canyon Road and Rosemary Lane just after 9:30 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department said.

Responding deputies found Jacob Harr, 28, of Chino Hills in the road. He died at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Department asked anyone with information about the crash to call deputies at 909-364-2000. Those who want to remain anonymous can call We Tip at 1-800-782-7463.
