One person was killed Wednesday morning in a head-on crash in the unincorporated Lakeview area of Riverside County, northeast of Nuevo.
The crash was reported on Ramona Expressway at Hansen Avenue about 4:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
Authorities said the two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision. One of the vehicles was a Toyota Corolla and the other was a Ford F-150.
Both vehicles ended up off the road and one was on its side, the CHP said.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.
The driver of the Corolla and the man who died in the crash was identified as Alejandro Corrales, 24, of Norco. The driver of the F-150 had no visible injuries and declined medical treatment, authorities said.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
