Authorities identified a 57-year-old Pomona man Wednesday, April 29, who was fatally struck by a car on the 710 Freeway in Compton over the weekend.
Stewart Gonzales was injured about 8:35 p.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway, just north of Alondra Boulevard, and died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office and the California Highway Patrol.
Responding officers found Gonzales beneath a Honda sedan along the right shoulder of the freeway, according to CHP Officer B. DePaz.
