A man running in the westbound lanes of the 15 Freeway south of Glen Helen Parkway in San Bernardino was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver who was still at large Wednesday, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident that was reported just before 9 p.m. Sunday, California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Ivan Sandoval said.
The man was hit by three cars. The first driver fled, and the other two stopped and remained at the scene. The man will not be identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner until relatives are notified, Sandoval said.
For the vehicle that fled the scene, the CHP does not have a description of it, the driver, or the speed the car was traveling, Sandoval said. Anyone with information was asked to call the San Bernardino CHP Area office at 909-383-4247.
