Driver killed in fiery crash in Riverside

A driver died Wednesday night, Feb. 19, when the driver’s vehicle crashed, overturned and caught fire in Riverside, the Police Department said.

Lt. Mike Crawford said the vehicle was headed west on Spruce Street between the railroad tracks and the 91 Freeway about 8:30 p.m. when it crashed into a culvert.

No information on the victim was immediately available. The ramps to the 91 were expected to be closed for several hours for the investigation.
