One person was killed and two critically injured early Tuesday when a vehicle crashed into a concrete divider at high speed, rolled over and hit a tree in Pomona, authorities said.

The crash was reported just before 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of North Garey Avenue.

“One passenger was ejected and two other occupants were trapped inside the vehicle that required extrication by L.A. County Fire Department personnel,” Pomona police Lt. Eddie Vazquez said. “One occupant has died as a result of his injuries.”

Police did not know which patient was driving or their identities, he said.

“We also do not know if alcohol or drugs were a factor,” the lieutenant said.
