A motorcyclist who lost control and was killed over the weekend along Highway 79, east of Temecula, has been identified as Michael Cooper, 74, of Balboa.

He was headed north on a 1971 BSA V-1 motorcycle at about 2:39 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and failed to negotiate a leftward curve near Dungan Drive, California Highway Patrol officials said.
