An Eastvale resident has died as a result of the injuries she suffered in what Corona police say was a hit-and-run collision.

About 7:40 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, Brenda Richardson, 48, was riding her motorcycle west on River Road when a vehicle driving east made a left turn in front of her, causing the collision, police said. Richardson was thrown from her motorcycle and was critically injured. She died at a hospital.

The vehicle that struck Richardson failed to stop as required by law, police said. Witnesses described the vehicle as a white or cream-colored sedan and was last seen traveling east on Penrose Avenue. The vehicle should have significant damage to the passenger side.

Police ask anyone with information on the collision to contact Officer Jason Gardner at 951-817-5784 or jason.gardner@coronaca.gov.
