Riverside County sheriff’s deputies are looking for the driver of a 2013-2017 dark-colored Jeep Patriot that fled the scene of a pedestrian hit-run in Norco, the agency said Tuesday.

The Jeep left the intersection of Hamner Avenue and Third Street after a man on foot was struck just before 10:40 p.m. Monday. The unidentified pedestrian was hospitalized in critical condition, deputies said.

The Jeep was last seen going northbound on Hamner, then eastbound on Third.

The department’s Jurupa Valley Station Traffic Reconstruction Team is investigating the incident to find its cause, and whether alcohol or drugs were a factor.

Deputies ask anyone with information to call 951-955-2600. Anonymous information can be left at Crime Stoppers, 800-782-7463 or 800-473-7847.  Online anonymous information can be left at www.riversidesheriff.org/tipline or www.wetip.com.
