One person was killed Saturday in a solo-vehicle crash in San Jacinto.
The crash was reported in the 1600 block of Cottonwood Avenue at 2:30 a.m., according to the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
Paramedics declared one person dead at the scene, the department said.
The victim was identified by the Riverside County coroner’s office as Itzayana Valenzuela, 26, of San Jacinto.
The preliminary investigation indicated the Toyota Camry driven by Valenzuela was eastbound on Cottonwood Avenue when it veered to the right, went off the roadway and struck a tree on the south side of the road, Riverside County sheriff’s Sgt. Bryan De Loss said.
