Motorcyclist from Hemet dies in collision east of Temecula

A Hemet resident was killed Thursday, Jan. 30, when his motorcycle collided with a big rig east of Temecula, the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash occurred about 6:30 p.m. on Highway 79 north of Anza Road. Jason Dreyer, 34, was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound when he veered into the northbound lane on a curve and struck the truck, CHP officials said.

Dreyer was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was not reported injured.
