INDUSTRY — A big rig and a vehicle crashed early Wednesday on the westbound 60 Freeway, and three lanes of the roadway were blocked until at least 5:30 a.m.

The crash was reported near the Fullerton Road exit about 1:15 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A large amount of debris, transmission and radiator fluid and oil was spread across the freeway as a result of the crash, the CHP said. The No. 2, 3 and 4 westbound lanes were closed until at least 5:30 a.m. to allow crews to cleanup the debris and fluid.

It was unclear if anyone was injured.

The cause of the accident was under investigation.
