A bus shuttle service between Disneyland and airports in Orange County and Los Angeles that offered travelers an alternative to fighting freeway traffic and leaving their rental car in an expensive parking lot will cease operation in the new year.
Coach USA announced that the last day of service for the Disneyland Resort Express airport shuttle bus service will be Jan. 7.
“Coach USA Southern California has informed their client Walt Disney Travel that the bus service between John Wayne Airport and Disneyland Resort Hotels and LAX and the Disneyland Resort Hotels will no longer continue after January 7, 2020,” Coach USA North America corporate affairs director Sean Hughes said via email.

Disneyland Express offered shuttle bus service between the Disneyland Hotel and either John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana or LAX in Los Angeles. The bus service typically offered hourly service from Los Angeles International Airport to Disneyland between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Disneyland Express was a popular alternative to rental cars and ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft for families traveling with small children.
“This puts many families in a bad spot if you were hoping to leave the car seat at home,” Jessica Sanders of the Happiest Blog on Earth wrote on Facebook.

The familiar buses in the Disneyland resort area were wrapped in oversize graphics featuring Disney characters and theme park attractions.
