1 dead after crash in Rancho Cucamonga

A Riverside man was hit and killed in Rancho Cucamonga early  Thursday.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said the crash happened just before 4:45 a.m. near Etiwanda Avenue and Fourth Street. The crash was between a pedestrian and a vehicle.

Authorities said the 45-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver was not injured.

The sheriff’s department said the cause of the crash is under investigation. The identity of the victim was not released.
