Motorcyclist dies at scene of Moreno Valley crash

An early morning crash in Moreno Valley left a motorcyclist dead on Saturday, Oct. 19.

The crash happened at about 12:37 a.m. along Alessandro Boulevard, west of Elsworth Street, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a statement. The person who died was headed east. The motorcycle involved in the collision struck a vehicle that had been coming from the opposite direction and was entering a driveway at the time of the crash.

The rider was pronounced dead at the scene. That person’s identity was not immediately released.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The incident was under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
