A pedestrian died after suffering major injuries during a traffic collision in Chino Hills on Saturday, Sept. 14.
The crash happened near the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Galloping Hills Road, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department officials said in a Sunday news release. Deputies responded at about 8:45 p.m. and encountered a 31-year-old woman who had been struck by a vehicle.
She sustained traumatic injuries and was later pronounced dead at Pomona Valley Medical Center, Sheriff’s officials said. Her identity was not immediately released, pending the notification of her relatives.
The 24-year-old woman from Chino Hills who was driving the vehicle involved in the crash was uninjured, officials said. Afterwards, she remained in the area and cooperated with authorities. Investigators do not believe intoxication was a factor in the collision.
