A woman died following a multi-vehicle collision in La Verne on Monday, July 22.
Officers were dispatched at about 2:40 p.m. near the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Moreno Avenue, La Verne police said in a statement. Emergency-responders found one woman who was injured and not breathing at the scene of a crash.
The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, police said. Her identity was not made public Monday evening.
Authorities did not immediately say what caused the crash, how many vehicles were involved, or the number of people injured.
The crash shut down both directions of traffic on Foothill between Moreno and Wheeler Avenues. Police asked residents to avoid the area.

The collision was under the investigation by the La Verne police department. Authorities asked anyone with information related to the crash to contact officers by dialing 909-596-1913.
