Two people were killed Monday night, July 22, when a pair of cars collided on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach.
At about 9:25 p.m. police responded to the area of Beach Boulevard and Taylor Drive for the crash, Sgt. Eric Warken said Tuesday morning.
Officers found a 2007 Honda Fit with major damage to the passenger side. The driver, a 29-year-old Chino Hills man, and a passenger, a 36-year-old Huntington Beach woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The other vehicle, a 2012 Volkswagen Passat, had major damage to the front. The 25-year-old driver and his two passengers – 22 and 18-year-old women – sustained moderate injuries and were taken to hospitals.
It wasn’t unknown yet what led to the crash or if drugs or alcohol were involved.
Investigators are looking for any witnesses to the crash and video-surveillance footage from the area.
