One dead after motorcycle crash in West Covina

A motorcyclist died in West Covina after a crash on Tuesday morning.

West Covina Police Department Lt. Michelle Figueroa said the crash happened in the area of Vincent and Puente avenues just after 7 a.m.

The motorcyclist was headed west on Puente Avenue when another vehicle going east made a left turn in front of the motorcyclist, officials said. The motorcyclist hit the rear quarter-panel of the vehicle.

Police said the motorcyclist went to the hospital with head injuries, and later died of injuries sustained in the crash.

The motorcyclist’s identity was not immediately available.

Alcohol or drugs were not suspected as being factors in the crash.
