Motorcyclist dies in crash on 10 Freeway in Bloomington

A motorcycle rider was killed early Friday, July 12, when he crashed on the 10 Freeway in Bloomington and then was run over by another vehicle, the California Highway Patrol said.

The incident happened at about 4:10 a.m. in the eastbound lanes east of Cedar Avenue. The motorcyclist collided with another vehicle and was thrown from his bike. Another vehicle then struck the motorcyclist, the CHP said. Another vehicle then struck the motorcycle.

None of the motorists in the subsequent collisions were reported injured, the CHP said.

The motorcyclist’s name has not been publicly released.

The CHP asks anyone with information on the crash to call Officer J. Gill at 909-383-4247.
