Police are investigating after a man died after a crash in San Bernardino early Sunday.
The San Bernardino Police Department said in a press release Tuesday that the crash happened when a 23-year-old man from San Bernardino was driving his vehicle south on Tippecanoe Avenue toward Mill Street about 12:30 a.m.
Officials said a utility truck was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Tippecanoe and Mill, and the 23-year-old’s vehicle crashed into the back of the truck.
The 23-year-old, later identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as Emmanuel Alexander Carreno-Morales, died as a result of the crash, according to police. The driver of the utility truck was uninjured.
Police said the cause of the crash is under investigation and anyone with information can contact police at 909-384-5664
