Motorcyclist killed in Moreno Valley collision is identified

A motorcyclist died Friday evening, June 7, in a collision with a pickup in Moreno Valley, authorities said.

Coroner’s officials on Saturday identified the person killed as Christopher Martinez, 24, a man from Moreno Valley.

The crash occurred about 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Elsworth Street, Riverside County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Vasquez said.

The victim died at the scene, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said.  There was no immediate word on the cause of the crash.

One other person was injured but was not hospitalized, Cal Fire/Riverside said.
