A driver was badly injured when his car crashed into a tree in San Dimas early Thursday morning.
The man lost control and struck a tree on San Dimas Avenue at Calle Liseta shortly after 1:30 a.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Pete Shupe said. He added that the man sustained head injuries.
Deputies didn’t smell alcohol on the driver, Shupe said.
Firefighters freed the trapped driver and took him to Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center, Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Scott Elliott said.
Authorities did not know the man’s condition.
