A man was fatally injured in a crash between a van and motorcycle on Friday night in the town of Big Bear Lake.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday said deputies from its Big Bear Station responded at 7:55 p.m. to reports of a crash at the intersection of Big Bear Boulevard of Mountainaire Lane.

A van was traveling north on Mountainaire Lane when it entered the intersection and collided with a motorcycle that was heading west on Big Bear Boulevard, officials said.

The Sheriff’s Department said the driver of the motorcycle, a man named Sean Argyle, was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center via air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

Argyle died of his injuries on Sunday, authorities said.

Argyle’s name and city of residence were not immediately available.

Anyone with information on the crash can contact Deputy Emanuel Patino at 909-866-0100.
