A woman was killed in a hit-and-run collision in Pomona on Friday night, March 30.
Officers responded at 8:30 p.m. to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian at Holt Avenue and Caswell Street and found a severely injured woman in the middle of the road, according to a statement from the Pomona Police Department.
The victim, identified as Barbara Fahnestock of Pomona, was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County firefighters.
Witnesses told police the driver of a dark-colored, newer model, Dodge Charger struck Fahnestock as she was crossing the street, and then left the scene and was last seen going south on Palm Street, police said.
