A Riverside teen who was killed in a crash in San Bernardino last week was publicly identified by coroner’s officials Sunday.
Gabriel Simmons, 18, was killed in a one-car crash that occurred just before 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, on southbound Interstate 215 north of Orange Show Road, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner.
Simmons was a rear passenger in a 2018 Volkswagen Passat when the driver of the vehicle lost control and crashed into a concrete wash. Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene, coroner officials said.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
