Driver accused of causing fatal collision near Riverside is identified

The man arrested after authorities say he caused a fatal collision south of Riverside has been identified as Kevin Keith Crocker, 41, of Riverside.

Crocker was arrested Friday, Dec. 28, on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, hit and run causing death, driving under the influence of alcohol while causing bodily injury and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 or greater while causing bodily injury, according to Riverside County jail records.

Crocker was released Dec. 29 after posting $75,000 bail. As of Wednesday afternoon he had not been charged. A court date has been set for Feb. 27.

Jeanne Bruneau, 72, of Riverside, died in the Friday collision on La Sierra Avenue at Lake Knoll Parkway in the Lake Hills area when Crocker’s vehicle rear-ended hers, the California Highway Patrol said.
