San Jacinto motorcyclist dies after crash in Perris

PERRIS — Authorities have identified a 22-year-old motorcyclist who was fatally injured in a collision at a Perris intersection.

Thomas Llamas of San Jacinto was hurt about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at Rider Street and Wilson Avenue.

According to Riverside County sheriff’s officials, Llamas was eastbound on Rider when the driver of a westbound sedan initiated a left turn onto Wilson just as the motorcyclist reached the location.

Llamas struck the passenger side of the car and was rushed to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno Valley, where he died about 1 a.m. Thursday.

The motorist, whose name was withheld, was not injured and was not arrested.

It was raining at the time of the crash. Investigators said alcohol or drugs do not appear to be factors in the collision, which remains under investigation.
