Six juveniles ranging in age from 13 to 17 were arrested on suspicion of carjacking Sunday, Nov. 11, after they phoned in a pizza order and stole the delivery driver’s car after she arrived at the home, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.
The crime happened about 8 p.m. in the 12700 block of Palermo Road. When the victim left her car idling as she carried the pizza to the door, three of the suspects jumped in her car while the others blocked her from returning to the car, a news release said. The suspects then drove off.
About three hours later, a civilian sheriff’s employee spotted the car on Mountain Creek Drive with the six juveniles standing near the car. Deputies, while searching the suspects, found the cell phone used to order the pizza, the release said.
