One person dies in early morning Highway 74 crash in Romoland

One person died in an early Monday crash that left three others injured at the intersection of Highway 74 and Menifee Road in Romoland,  CalFire/Riverside County said.

The 1:50 a.m. crash left two vehicles overturned. A person trapped in one of them died at the scene, the fire agency tweeted.

One person had a minor injury and two had moderate injuries. All were taken to a hospital, the tweet said.

The Riverside County coroner’s office identified the person killed as Ricardo Murillo Sandoval, 22, of Hemet.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash.
