Ontario police investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a driver who struck and killed an elderly man and fled the scene, authorities said.

About 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, a 75-year-old Ontario resident was crossing Mountain Avenue at Flora Street when he was struck by a 2004 to 2006 Scion xB, police said.

He was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office as Guillermo Manzo and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

After the collision, the driver of the Scion continued southbound on Mountain Avenue, police said.

The Scion is plum colored and should have front-end damage as a result of the collision.

Police on Saturday said no arrests had been made in the incident.

Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact the Ontario Police Department at 909-986-6711. Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling WE-TIP at 1-800-78-CRIME.
