Motorist killed in 10 Freeway crash in Redlands

A woman died Tuesday, Sept. 18, in a crash on the 10 Freeway in Redlands that blocked the eastbound lanes for more than an hour.

No additional information on the motorist was immediately available.

The crash was reported as a single vehicle that rolled over into the center divider west of California Street about 2:25 p.m., the California Highway Patrol log said.

While the car, reported as a grey Volkswagen Jetta, blocked only one lane, debris including oil was scattered over all lanes, the log said. Traffic was diverted off at Mountain View Avenue.

The lanes were reopened by 3:55 p.m., the CHP said.
