A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash on the 60 Freeway in the Diamond Bar area, authorities said Wednesday.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Tuesday on the eastbound freeway near Grand Avenue, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Daniel Gutierrez, 39, of Riverside died at a hospital, the CHP reported.
According to the preliminary investigation, Gutierrez was riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson that was struck by a car that went out of control after colliding with two big rigs, one of which kept going, the CHP reported. The 25-year-old Pomona woman driving the car suffered minor injuries.
The hit-and-run vehicle was described only as an older-model red Freightliner truck that was pulling a red trailer. Anyone with information on the crash was urged to call the CHP’s Baldwin Park Area office at (626) 338-1164.
