Motorist who died from injuries suffered in Ontario crash identified

A motorist who died in a collision last week in south Ontario has been identified, coroner officials said.

Rodolfo Galindo, 69, of Ontario was the driver and sole occupant of a blue Nissan Titan truck involved in a collision at 1:35 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Walker Avenue and Edison Avenue, according to the San Bernardino County coroner.

The truck collided with a Toyota Matrix traveling east on Edison Avenue, according to coroner officials. Galindo was taken to Kaiser Hospital in Ontario where he later died of his injuries.

The Toyota driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The collision is under investigation by Ontario police.
