Covina man dies after crash on 91 Freeway in Corona

A crash on the 91 Freeway in Corona on Sunday night turned fatal for a Covina man and for a time closed the westbound lanes east of Lincoln Avenue.

A California Highway Patrol SigAlert was issued at 10:06 p.m. for the westbound lanes. But by 11:10 p.m., all westbound lanes were open, Caltrans said.

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office on Monday identified Joshua Ortiz, 24, as the person who died in the collision.

Details on the crash were not available.
