The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in a hit and run traffic collision that left an elderly woman injured, Saturday morning, June 9.
About 7 a.m., deputies responded to Baseline Street and Church Avenue in Highland for a traffic collision involving a pedestrian, officials said in a news alert.
Upon arrival, deputies found the victim, an 82-year-old woman, lying in the crosswalk at the intersection with several injuries, including a possible broken hip and multiple contusions and abrasions, officials said.
She was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle left the scene. Deputies are seeking anyone who many have witnessed the collision and can provide additional information on the driver and the driver’s vehicle.
