Fiery crash kills one on 210 Freeway in Glendora

GLENDORA — One person was killed Sunday in a fiery crash on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Glendora, authorities said.

The crash between a red sedan and a black SUV was reported at 7:41 p.m. on the eastbound Foothill Freeway at Grand Avenue, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball said.

One vehicle became fully engulfed in flames, Kimball said and the aftermath shown in broadcast video indicated it was the black SUV.

One person, believed to be a female, was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:55 p.m., he said.

A SigAlert was issued at 8:03 p.m. shutting down all but the eastbound HOV lane and lanes 1, 2, 3 and 4 were reopened at 10:31 p.m., Kimball said.
