A woman died as a result of a multi-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley on Sunday night, May 27, authorities said.
The crash occurred on Limonite Avenue between Camino Real and Avenida Juan Bautista, according to an alert from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said it was reported at 5:38 p.m. at Peralta Place and Limonite.
Arriving firefighters reported the crash involved three to four vehicles.
Two women and two juveniles were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. The Fire Department said two patients were seriously injured, one had moderate injuries and one had minor injuries. A female driver died at the hospital, authorities said.
Limonite Avenue was closed between Camino Real and Avenida Juan Bautista while deputies investigate. Authorities said in the alert that the road would be closed until 1 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Drugs or alcohol appear to be a factor in the crash, authorities said in the alert.
Further information about the other three occupants in the vehicles, or how the collision occurred, was not immediately available.
